This is a long standing highlight in the W.O.S.C racing and social calendar. The days events start with the start of the race at 11.00 am. For those new to this, it is a team race format with each team consisting of two boats, one single handed and one crewed. The teams follow a set course and can change helms and crews as many times as they like in the eight hour period, but must change a minimum of once every 2 laps. This makes for entertaining changeovers as teams come in to swap over right in front of the clubhouse. This event is an open event and we are hoping for teams from Farmoor, and other local sailing clubs to take on the best of W.O.S.C.
The club BBQ will be available lunchtime for any member to use and the bar will be available to keep all refreshed. This year we will be also selling BBQ roast pork rolls from 4pm on a first come first serve basis. This event is an open event so feel free to invite friends to support the teams and join the fun.
The fun continues into the evening when there will be live music in the clubhouse from 8PM, this is an open mic event so if you have ever fancied walking on stage at Glastonbury this might be as near as you get. I am sure we will be stunned by the musical talent of some of our members. No need to play anything, we need plenty of people just to turn up and have a good evening.
Camping is available for those who don't want to risk the drive home after a long day.
